Beaverstown Golf Club is an established 18-hole parkland golf club located in Beaverstown,
Donabate, County Dublin, Ireland. They are now looking to raise the operational standards in the
club by appointing a new General Manager.


Set across approximately 140 acres of lush countryside and former apple orchards, the course
features undulating sand-based greens and makes great use of natural features, including mature
apple trees, lakes, a stream, and the nearby Rogerstown estuary.


Originally designed by renowned Irish architect Eddie Hackett and later remodelled by Peter McEvoy,
it offers a challenging yet enjoyable test for golfers of all abilities and is playable year-round thanks to
its well-drained surfaces.The clubhouse and facilities provide a welcoming setting for both members and visitors, making
Beaverstown a popular choice for golf enthusiasts in north Dublin

Key Responsibilities: As General Manager, you will:
• Lead Club Operations: Oversee all aspects of club operations and facilities, maintaining
compliance with the Board’s policies and industry regulations. Ensure the golf course and
clubhouse are presented to the highest standards for members and visitors at all times.
• Administrative & Financial Management: Provide strong administrative leadership by
preparing annual budgets, managing financial plans and monitoring departmental
performance. Establish accountability measures for all departments to meet financial and
service targets.
• Member Experience & Hospitality: Maintain a visible presence around the club, fostering a
welcoming atmosphere for members, guests and visitors. Champion excellent customer
service and organise member events to enhance engagement and satisfaction.
• Project & Contractor Oversight: Manage club projects and capital improvements from
planning through completion, delivering results on time and within budget. Oversee
boundary management and external contractors (e.g. grounds maintenance, clubhouse
improvements), ensuring quality work and minimal disruption to club activities. Implement
sustainability initiatives to improve the environmental performance of the club’s facilities.
• Commercial Development: Drive the club’s commercial success by developing sponsorship
opportunities and partnerships. Create and implement sponsorship models to generate
additional revenue while upholding the club’s values. Explore marketing initiatives to attract
new members and increase clubhouse usage.
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a multi-disciplinary team across golf operations,
hospitality and administration. Promote a positive, inclusive work culture with an emphasis
on teamwork, staff development and high performance.
Ideal Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate will bring:
• Proven Club Management Experience: 5 plus years of experience in golf club or hospitality
management, with a strong track record in boundary management, contractor oversight and
implementing sustainability initiatives. Engaging in the Club Management Pathway through
CMAI and CMAE is an advantage.
• Project Delivery Skills: Demonstrated project management ability, capable of driving
initiatives from concept to completion and delivering outcomes that benefit the club.
Financial Acumen: Strong financial leadership skills, including expertise in budgeting,
financial reporting and accountability for results.
• Commercial Savvy: A creative commercial mindset with experience in revenue generation.
Ability to develop sponsorship deals or partnerships and to model these opportunities for
long-term success.
• Leadership & Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional people management and communication
skills. A history of leading diverse, multi-disciplinary teams and fostering a member-focused
service culture. Able to work closely with a Board and communicate effectively with
stakeholders at all levels.
• Personal Qualities: High energy and commitment to excellence. Flexible and adaptable, with
the ability to work some evenings/weekends as required in a club environment. Adept at
problem-solving, with keen attention to detail and organisational skills.

Remuneration and Benefits
A competitive salary package will be offered, commensurate with experience. In addition, a
performance-based bonus structure will apply, aligned with key performance indicators. This role
also includes matched pension contributions and support for ongoing professional development.
